The aim of the work is to compare the relative risk of the public morbidity at the "uranium legacy" (UL) territory with that at the territories affected by nuclear power plants. The data on the public morbidity at the "uranium legacy" territories of Lermontov city, 815.1±2.6 per 1000 adults and 2310.9±115.7 per 1000 children and the average data on the public morbidity at the territories affected by four NPP`s in the Central Federal District of Russia 452.7±77.6 per 1000 adults and 2230.7±394.9 per 1000 children are considered. The method of comparing the relative risk of the joined impact of all regional negative factors, including radiation, was used. The conducted comparative analysis showed that the UL territories were characterized by an increased relative risk of general morbidity (for the adult population - RRUL/NPP=1.56, for the child population - RRUL/NPP=1.61) and an increased relative radiation risk (for the adult population - RRUL/NPP=2.67, for the child population - RRUL/NPP=1.69), an increased relative share of morbidity of organs and systems critical to radiation effects (for the adult population 48.2% and 30.5%, for children - 25.3% and 29.1%), both for the adult and child population.
