The purpose of the article is to analyze the study of the education system in the Russian Federation, as well as the forms and stages of the education system, a set of measures of the education system of the Russian Federation is considered, a comparative analysis of education indicators in such regions as the Republic of Tyva is carried out in the Republic of Khakassia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory, and, finally, the general directions of reforming the education system of Russia were determined.
