A comparative analysis of the social expectations of practicing sport: the data of sociological surveys of regional university students

Empirical evidence of sociological surveys of students majoring in physical education and humanitarian sciences at two regional universities is presented and interpreted in the article. The students’ opinions, judgments and assessments of sports and physical education classes are shown. The social expectations from their future profession in the social institution of sport are analyzed.
