Comparative analysis of students’ political party preferences on the eve of the 2011 and 2016 State Duma elections (on the example of the NEFU named after M.K. Ammosov)

The article presents data from two surveys of students of the North-Eastern Federal University conducted in 2011 and 2016 on the eve of the elections to the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The research involved students from different areas of training (technical, humanitarian, natural science). The general dynamics of the rating of political parties is shown. An attempt is made to explain the changes in the ratings of political parties in the eyes of young voters. A comparative analysis of the results of the student surveys with the republican and national results of the parliamentary elections is also carried out. The author comes to the conclusion about the convergence of student and all-Russian ratings and the significant impact of the educational program on the students' political culture. The article is of interest not only as a summary of the results of previous election cycles, but also in connection with the upcoming State Duma elections in 2021.
