The dynamics of changes in the number of students of different forms of education in the federal districts of the country is considered. The trends in the labor market in the field of information technology are analyzed. The requirements of employers to the level of education of candidates are compared using the analysis of open data on vacancies and a summary of the recruitment site “Work of Russia”. The requirements of employers to the level of knowledge of future candidates and the content of the curricula of the relevant areas of training are compared.
