One of the main branch of agriculture is livestock industry. For high efficiency of livestock, an important role is played by a rational and balanced lasting food base including a variety of concentrated feed, as well as the implementation and improvement of mechanization and automation of processes, feed processing and other manufacturing processes. In the preparation of feed used different feed mixtures in which the components used root crops. But before feeding cattle, fodder root crops require pre-treatment in the form of washing or dry cleaning on the soil particles. The use of machines for cleaning of root crops reduce energy costs, labor costs and cost-effective in comparison with the principle of hydro mechanical clearing machines. The problem of dry cleaning root crops considered in the article. A comparative analysis of machines for cleaning root crops, the advantages and disadvantages of existing devices for waterless cleaning root crops. Development of the device and improving the process dry scrubbing fodder root crops bears the a new trend in the development of the livestock industry and will positively impact in the productivity of animals.
