Comparative analysis of the military-strategic concepts of NATO and the CSTO: general and special

This paper examines some perspectives and stipulations that are reflected in the main conceptual documents of such military-political alliances as NATO and the CSTO. The aim of any military-political Alliance is the implementation of joint actions to solve common, first of all, political and military tasks. It is obvious that the collective solution of common military and political issues should be based on a comprehensive analysis of military dangers and an assessment of political risks. The study of doctrinal documents gives a comprehensive view of what the above-mentioned factors of international politics characterize as threats, and accordingly shows their ways of responding to the challenges of the modern world. Political expertise of official texts of a strategic nature, in this case, is based on the principles of a systematic approach: integrity, hierarchy, normativity, goal setting. Content analysis was chosen as the main research method.
