This article is devoted to studying of the spatial and stratigraphic background pursued for the groups of the artifacts collecting in the Early Upper Paleolithic layers 8-11 of the Ust-Karakol-1 site. These artifacts bear technical and typological resemblance to material from the Middle Paleolithic blade-point industries related to the Kara-Bom variant of the Middle Paleolithic at the Mountain Altai territory. Spatial and stratigraphic analysis indicate that Early Upper Paleolithic cultural deposits of the layers 8-11 were accumulated after the event, which was a cause of the «cutting», partial destruction and cultural deposit exposure of the layers 12-16 in the central and low areas of the Pit 2 relative to the slope. In consequence of this process, the artifacts from the cultural horizon of the layers 14 and 15-16 were caught in the contact zone in conjunction with cultural deposits of the layer 8-11. Some of the artifacts of the layer 14 were caught in the later sediments as a result of bioturbation. The spatial distribution of the stone artifacts conforms fully to slight angular displacement reflected in sedimentary stratigraphic profile. Differentiation of the archaeological materials in compliance with their attribution to «maternal» cultural divisions gives an opportunity to consider the stone artifact collections of the layers 8-11, 13-14 and 15-16 as the single industries and to interpret the character of the cultural genetic interrelations between Middle and Early Upper Paleolithic industries of the Ust-Karakol-1 site from the new perspectives.
