The article dwells upon the unique mask kept in the Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York City, USA). The mask is made of iron and is provided with a copper perimeter-border. According to the typological analysis and to the comparison with pictorial sources it dates back to the 14th - the beginning of the 15th century and it is correlated with the armoury complex of the warriors from Mongolia and the China of the Late Yuan Dynasty - the Early Ming Dynasty period.
