Studies conducted in Irkutsk Interregional Veterinary Laboratory. 6890 samples of biological material were examined. The frequency of isolation staphylococcus in birds was 69,9%, in animals - 53,6%. Among animals the highest isolation staphylococcus was at examination of animals belonging to the group of “other” (dogs, cats, rabbits), - 72,8%, the lowest - at examination of cattle - 25,3%. The dynamics increase the frequency of isolation of staphylococcus in animals was revealed during the study period. The etiological structure staphylococcosis was quite various and represented 13 species of microorganisms. S.aureus (39,4%) and S.epidermidis (26,5%) were the leading etiological agents of infection among animals, S.aureus (45,5%) и S.gallinarum (43,9%) - among birds.
