Stakhanovetzes of logging of the Volga region during the pre-war industrialization

The article is devoted to the development of Stakhanov movement for the overfulfillment of output norms in the forest industry in the Volga region during the pre-war industrialization. The author considers the Volga region in borders of modern Penza, Samara, Saratov, Ulyanovsk areas and the Republics of Mordovia, Tatarstan, Chuvashia. As the author argues, the Stakhanov movement was stimulated by means of both material consideration and moral encouragement; but the shortage of tools, poor organization of work, prevalence of low-skill seasonal labor force were the main obstacles for the mass spread of the movement.
