He paper considers probabilistic modeling of waste generation processes. It is shown that the time for the transition of objects to waste can be described by a family of Weibull distributions. We have analyzed the characteristics of the Weibull distribution in estimating the amount of waste: mathematical expectation, variance, mode, median, asymmetry coefficient and kurtosis coefficient. Practical use of the probabilistic model of waste generation is based on known values- the average service life of objects, established by regulatory documents, and the coefficient of variation.
