After the October Revolution of 1917 and the establishment of Bolshevik power in the Soviet state, fundamental changes began in all areas of life, including the economy. The article examines one of the aspects of this area related to the regulation of controversial issues arising between business entities. Here, the Soviet government encountered certain difficulties, since one of the Bolshevik slogans provided for the nationalization of enterprises; accordingly, in the state economic system, the principle of planned economic activity was assumed and, accordingly, disputes between them could no longer be considered by the economic court, as previously in the Russian Empire. However, it soon became clear that it would be impossible to do without special bodies for economic disputes. The author presents the main stages in the formation of arbitration bodies in the Soviet state, focusing on organizational and legal issues.
