The article is devoted to the issues of formation and development of legal institute of gild merchants in Siberia, in which the Russian sources (legislation) took an important place establishing the volume of rights, privileges and duties of merchants at implementation by them the commerce and industry activity and activities for organizing and managing of city self-government authorities.
