The formation and development of theories of cumulative growth

The article is examined the issues of the development of theories of cumulative growth. The views on the theory of growth poles of such scholars as J.R. Boudevillie, F. Perroux, J. Friedman, T. Hagerstrand, G. Shote are presented in this work. Their contribution to the development of the mentioned theory on national and regional levels is studied. The article is discovered the area of practical application of provisions of the theory of growth poles and it is substantiated the possibility of successful formation and development of growth poles in the Russian economy.
