Personality development in the communicative environment of modern culture

The article reveals the specificity of the phenomenology of communication, allowing it to be viewed as a meaningful aspect of social interaction, immersed in the structure of language, myth, and symbol in the sociocultural space of everyday life. In this context, individuals realize themselves as personalities and, based on the socially and personally appropriated experiences acquired through various channels of communication, identify themselves within culture and society. The object of this study is the process of personality formation. The subject is communication as a basic mechanism for filling culture with an infinite variety of meanings and a diversity of social practices, facilitating informational interaction and the exchange of messages that shape opinions, ideologies, traditions, and religions. The aim of this article is to conceptualize the essence of communication in the process of personality formation in the realities of digital modernity. The methodological basis of the research employs the tools of the informational-semiotic approach to obtain a holistic understanding of the role of the communicative system in human life and its cultural development. A comparative-historical and historical-retrospective analysis of materials from scientific and public discourse on communication within the semiotic space is conducted.
