Establishment of the system of health care of the city of Makhachkala in 1920s

Based on the documentary sources and special monographic works, the article deals with the health care and medical service system in the city of Makhachkala in the first years after the establishment of the Soviet power. It covers the first events in this sphere, the organization of the People's Commissariat of Health Care of DASSR in 1921 and its role in the implementation and control over the work of medical institutions of the whole republic.
