The author of the article studied the influence of the ecological situation on the demographic behavior of the population of Krasnoyarsk through the use of factor analysis when processing the results of a quantitative sociological study conducted in May 2021. In the course of studying the internal mechanism of demographic behavior of residents of Krasnoyarsk residents under conditions of excessive technogenic impact on the urban environment, it was possible to establish latent factors that determine its specificity, which were combined into the following groups: a) self-preservation behavior characterized by a negative perception by citizens of the idea of a healthy lifestyle and a positive attitude to the practice of spending time outside the city; b) life expectancy, statistically differing in men and women not in favor of the former; c) reproductive intentions due to the level of financial support for the family; d) the environmental situation that causes serious concerns among citizens, but is not the cause of excessive migration; e) trust in information sources, among which Internet forums and video blogs are the least authoritative. As a research perspective, it is noted that it is necessary to study the impact of the environmental situation in the territory of residence on the migration intentions of the population due to their importance for determining the patterns of demographic behavior of citizens.
