The structure of the simulation model of the spatial direction finding of radiation sources based on the correlation analysis of the observation results using a discrete processing method has been developed, the initial data and limitations in their implementation have been determined. Based on the probabilistic criterion, the problem of determining the sufficiency of statistical tests was solved, the statistical and probabilistic characteristics of the search were evaluated, taking into account the features of spatial instability of the electromagnetic parameters of the propagation medium, instrumental errors in measuring the phase of the signal. The dependences of the probability of correct detection on the signal-to-noise ratio for various modeling conditions are obtained, which can be used to make the right decision about the presence of radiation source resolution in the analyzed element.
