The status of church law of the Old Russian State as a sub-branch of criminal law

Introduction: Sub-branches of criminal law, being a relatively new product of scientific research, are not excluded from the sphere of comparative historical research. Like any other structural unit of law, it arises as a qualitative reaction to quantitative changes caused by the complication of regulated social relations. This causes a number of limitations associated with the lack of historical analogies, making direct comparison impossible. One of the areas of research is the question of attributing the corresponding section of church law to historical sub-branches of criminal law.
