Status of the Higher Arbitration Court in the initial edition of the 1993 Constitution and the reasons of its abolishment

The article examines the constitutional and legal status of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation, which it had in accordance with the Russian Constitution of 1993 and the reasons for its abolition in 2014. The position is substantiated that the subjective and personal factor associated with different approaches to organization of judicial activity on the one hand - the chairman of the Supreme Arbitration Court, and on the other hand - the chairman of the Supreme Court of Russia. This is evidenced by the incredibly quick decision to amend the Constitution of Russia. It is concluded that although six years have passed since the abolition of the Supreme Arbitration Court, it is too early to judge how correct this decision was.
