The article is devoted to the description and linguostylistic analysis of phraseological units with the concept of “Gato” in Spanish. The analysis is based on the Spanish lexicographical sources and on the material of the Spanish literature. The idioms with the concept of “Gato” have features of spoken Spanish and take on the role of a trope with its usual artistic expressiveness.
