The author considers in the article the range of sales promotion problems on the basis of a company communication policy and presents marketing communication mechanisms. The paper reveals the topicality of such a company marketing effort vector as sales promotion; the list of advantages and drawbacks of sales promotion on the basis of a comparative analysis with the results of application of such a method of marketing communications as advertising is provided in the article.
