Immunity stimulation of newborn calves with different immune status

One of the main problems in animal husbandry is the high percentage of hypotrophic calves, which have low birth weight, increased susceptibility to diseases, and a high probability of death. The solution to this problem could be the use of plant-based preparations instead of chemical ones, as they do not have a toxic effect on the body and increase live weight gain, which contributes to adaptation to intensive farming. The aim of the study was to investigate the potential of Ilmetin for stimulating the immunity of hypotrophic calves. It was found that Ilmetin has a pronounced stimulating effect on immune and metabolic processes in hypotrophic calves, without exceeding normal physiological values. When treating hypotrophic calves, individual characteristics of each animal should be considered, and a comprehensive approach should be used.
