Stimulation of osteointegration of components of the hip joint replacement with collagen-containing material

Destructive-dystrophic lesions of the hip joint are an actual problem, the solution of which is to perform its endoprosthetics - from 100 to 300 cases per 100 000 population per year. Aseptic instability of endoprosthesis components is leading among unsatisfactory outcomes in the long term. The article presents a new effective method of osseointegration of components of the hip joint endoprosthesis with collagen-containing material. Diagnosis and peculiarities of surgical treatment of 41 patients operated in the traditional way and 36 patients who underwent osteointegration stimulation with collagen- containing material during the operative treatment were analyzed. Comparative analysis showed that the immediate, medium and long-term results (excellent 47%, well 39%) of primary hip arthroplasty in patients of the main group with coxarthrosis of the late stages compared with the control group (excellent-29.5%, well-51.2% ) testify to the high efficiency of the application of the developed method of stimulating the osseointegration of endo-prosthetic components.
