Stolypin agrarian reform in the latest Russian historical literature

The article understands the main approaches to the study of Stolypin agrarian reform. The scientific historical literature over the last twenty years is analyzed, the author identifies the main trends of studying various sides of the Stolypin agrarian reform by Russian researchers. Different points of view on the implementation of Stolypin agrarian reform are considered, and it is concluded that the modern stage of historiography is characterized by a significant expansion of the topic and geography of research. Historians continue in-depth study of local archival sources and statistics, which allows to carry out more objectively theoretical analysis of the development of agriculture and regional agrarian markets, as well as technological and social modernization in the Russian village. It is noted that still, Stolypin agrarian reform in modern Russian historiography is assessed mixed and causes sharp discussions, as the implementation of reform in different regions of the Russian Empire took place in different ways. In those circumstances, the transformation did not produce results that all researchers would recognize as successful.
