Dental care for patients with head and neck cancer

The efficacy of dental prevention of radiation-induced mucositis for patients with oral cavity cancer has been estimated. The offered algorithm of dental care for these patients on stages of the combined modality treatment including preoperative radiation therapy and radical surgery has been found to reduce the risk of developing and degree of severity of radiation-induced reactions and contribute to more favorable early postoperative period
