Insurance protection of public interests in the implementation of life cycle contracts

The author examines the practice of insurance protection when using life cycle contracts and stimulating the inclusion of this form of public-private partnership in government projects and programs in Russia. Analyzes the risks associated with the specifics and duration of such contracts. Shows that it is the long- term nature of life cycle contracts that makes it advisable to develop insurance mechanisms to ensure their implementation.
