Cargo insurance: factors hindering development in Russian conditions

The article discusses the role of factors hindering the process of cargo insurance, which leads to insufficient insurance of certain types of cargo transportation. The issue of distrust of cargo owners to insurance companies is raised. Problems are highlighted in the field of the state and development of the Russian transport market, the low share of insured road and rail freight. Measures are identified that contribute to the improvement of the insurance culture of consignors and the professionalism of employees of insurance companies in terms of informing potential customers about new insurance products and the feasibility of their use in the modern practice of cargo transportation
