Life insurance as a personal insurance type: the present state and prospects of development in Russia

The article analyzes the current state of the personal insurance market in Russia and, in particular, life insurance. Despite the fact that every year more and more citizens enter into a life insurance relationship, the demand for this kind of insurance is still inordinately small in comparison with the European countries. It is concluded that in order to promote life insurance it is necessary to take a number of measures at the level of legislation and raising the standard of living of the population.
