The article discusses approaches to teaching country studies in foreign languages courses. It analyzes the need to provide linguistic and country information for better perception of both foreign and native languages. The author considers examples of practical solutions for implicit and explicit teaching of country studies used in textbooks for German as a foreign language and profession-oriented German language courses.
