Strategic directions of the transportation system development in Russia and foreign countries (features of legal regulation)

This article is devoted to the analysis of the directions of the strategic development of transport in Russia and some foreign countries. In particular, the authors note that in the sphere of the functioning and development of transport, the state must ensure the creation of conditions for economic growth, increase the competitiveness of the national economy and the quality of life of the population by providing access to safe and high-quality transport services, turning the geographical features of Russia into its competitive advantage.
