The construction industry is a key sector of the economy, determining the pace of socio-economic development of any country. In the modern world, especially in the context of post-pandemic recovery and global economic changes, the development of construction companies is becoming even more important. As a result, assessing the internal environment, resources and competencies is a key step in the strategic analysis of any organization. This article is devoted to a detailed study of internal factors that can affect the competitiveness and effective functioning of construction enterprises. In addition, the analysis made it possible to identify a number of circumstances affecting the sustainability and effective functioning of enterprises in the context of modern market realities, such as the growth of the competitive environment, uncertainty of the economic situation, innovation and digitalization, social and environmental aspects, changing customer requirements, government regulation. Thus, the study of strategic planning in modern market conditions in this article is a relevant and necessary step to determine effective management methods, increase the level of adaptability and competitiveness of construction enterprises, as well as develop recommendations for optimizing activities in a constantly changing external environment.
