Strategic management in the ecological ecosystem in the context of digital transformation is the development of a system for monitoring the state of the environment and the introduction of digital platforms in the environmental management industry. In the field of ecology, the problems solved during digital transformation are identified: the collection and circulation of information on paper, low awareness of citizens regarding environmental monitoring, the use of paper media in the provision of public services, the lack of unified platform solutions. The strategic directions approved in 2021 by the Government of the Russian Federation in the field of digital transformation of the ecology and nature management industry are reflected in the strategies developed at the regional level in the field of digital transformation of economic, social and public administration sectors. Using the example of the Rostov region, it is shown that such a strategy includes a large block on ecology and nature management, and the region is expected to participate in 8 federal projects. The practice of participating in the project of the Federal State Information System "Automated system of licensing of subsurface use", work on digital modernization of the state hunting register and the unified register of types of regional state control (supervision); digitalization of the service of receiving forest declarations and reports on the use of forests will allow achieving a long-term balance between the technosphere and the natural environment.
