The article analyzes the features of monopolistic competition with an emphasis on the Dixit-Stiglitz market model and Michael Porter's competitive strategies. Pricing mechanisms and business strategies based on product differentiation are considered, as well as the use of tools such as advertising, innovation and design to strengthen competitive advantages. The relationship between production efficiency, product diversity and consumer preferences is described. Special attention is paid to the role of sustainable design and the ESG concept in modern differentiation strategies.
