The strategies and tendencies of the Buddhist religious confessions in the monoethnical and polyethnical societies

The article analyzes tendencies of the historical evolution of the Buddhist confession. The author touches upon the problems of history of spreading of Buddhism among the Mongolian peoples and its adaptation. The renovating tendencies, inspired by the Buddhist monarchs at the beginning of the 20th century also are presented here. The main attention is paid to the historical reasons of the autonomous position of the Buddhist Sangha in Russia.
