Strategies of modern university internationalization (experience of regional medical cluster)

The article is concerned with internationalization of university, i.e. the establishment of international contacts system, the entry of university (institution) into a broad network of researchers' interaction around the world. The example of the Samara State Medical University shows possible practices, approaches and problems of such process. Conclusion. The key of success is in the internationalization of the university. First of all, it’s in the trust in the experience and professional horizons of Russian scientists, also in the involvement of foreign colleagues in the dialogue, the coordination of all parts of the scientific and managerial-entrepreneurial apparatus, as well as the expansion of ties with other countries (the formation of international schools via the training of foreign students, grant work and the search for specialists interested in contacts with Russian regional universities).
