Strategies of Russian households for improvement of their housing conditions

On the data from the 2011 Rosstat survey “ Integrated monitoring of living conditions” was conducted analysis of the housing conditions, plans and intentions of the Russian households. There were identified territorial differences in the housing provision and acuteness of the housing problem in families of different types. The most complicated situation with affordability of housing is in megalopolises. Active and interested in construction of new housing are mainly families with children, where the housing problems are the most acute. The author considers the ways to improvement of the housing conditions of households and the sources of funding.
