German strategy in the conflict over Afghanistan (2001-2003)

The paper presents an analysis of the participation of Germany in the preparation and implementation of the initial phase antiterrorist operation in Afghanistan. It is established that the actions of the German leaders were comprehensive, providing for a legal assessment of the action, its diplomatic and military support. However, the desire of Germany was traced to focus on financial and humanitarian aspect of the fight against international terrorism.
