The article reflects the situation of the jewellery industry facing the falling of demand for precious metal. It provides the information of price changes in raw materials and reflects the average mass dynamics of the gold jewellery over the years. In the work the corporate strategy of diversification is presented as an option for business development in the event of a crisis. Both Russian and foreign jewellery companies are considered as successful examples of diversification.
