Strategy and project management in the mining and metallurgical cluster: opportunities and prospects

The effective functioning of the entities of the Russian mining and metallurgical clusters is an essential condition for sustainable socio-economic development both in the regions of its presence and for the country as a whole. The author suggests the use of strategy and project management as management solutions and technologies for qualitative transformations of cluster entities. Attention is paid to the existing systems of strategic and project management in the mining and metallurgical industry in the Russian Federation. The characteristics of the impact levels are given. The issues related to the potential barriers to the use of strategy and project management in the management processes of the industry are considered, as well as their promising areas of use. The author notes the relationship between strategy and project management, their focus on the adaptation of mining and metallurgical enterprises to the changing external environment and the optimization of subject interactions.
