Structure and symptoms of genital diseases in cats according to ultrasound scanning data

The aim of the work is the study genital diseases in cats according to data obtained through an ultrasonic method of research. The research was carried out at the premises of the University Veterinary Clinic from January to December 2018. To achieve this goal, the following tasks were defined: studying the structure of genital pathologies in cats according to ultrasound scanning, identifying ultrasonographic symptoms of genital diseases in cats, and verifying them during ovariohysterectomy. The study involved 38 animals aged 1 to 16, with an average age of 9 years. Ultrasound scanning was carried out according to the generally accepted method using an ETS-D-05 Rascan scanner with a microconvex sensor with a frequency of 5 and 7.5 MHz, B-mode scanning was applied. It has been established that, among genital diseases in cats, chronic endometritis with moderate filling of the horns of the uterus with an exudate plays a leading role, as it was found in 53% of cases.
