Structure of life quality of the population in Russian and foreign studies

Until the mid of the 21st century life quality of the population was considered through the prism of the economic welfare concept, according to which it depends exclusively on the material welfare of the population and can be assessed only in monetary terms. Various scientific disciplines are interested in this category; it predetermines the change in the content of the notion “quality of life”. It becomes wider and more diverse, its structure - more complicated, covering a large number of areas. The article systematizes theoretical approaches to the definition of the structure of life quality of the population and identifies blocks of life quality recognized as the minimum necessary and most frequently observed in the works of Russian and foreign researchers.
