Structural organization of sense in the process of text interpretation

The comprehension process is studied in the article as vigorous thinking activity of a recipient aimed at decoding the sense of a text. The interpretation process is analyzed as verbalized understanding. At this, the term sense is interpreted as a cogitative form comprised in the process of categorization of implicational and explicational means of text construction. Revealing text meanings and disclosing their structural organization is suggested to be a necessary step in the algorithm of adequate text interpretation. The author points out a certain type of structural organization of meanings - a sense frame - formed in the result of categorization of semantically close implicative and explicative text meanings which are given with the intervals in the corpus of a text and establish cognitive connections within the cogitative activity of a recipient in the process of text plot comprehension. Frame meaningfulness is represented as lexical and stylistic devices permitting to arrange ideas in the plot in such an order that the recipient can comprehend the key sense of the text. The comprehension of the semantic frame is often possible after the recipient finishes reading the whole text. Some stories of popular English and Russian authors are proposed for further interpretation and analysis with respect to structural organization of semantic frame.
