The influence of chemotherapeutic agents on structural-functional characteristics of blood cells in vitro has been studied. Such parameters as volume, electric conduction and quantity of laser-induced light-scatter of leukocyte populations (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils) have been studied on hematologic analyzer LH-500 (Beckman Coulter) using VCS-technology. Significant changes of VCS-parameters of leukocytes of peripheral blood of patients with recurrences and metastases of cervical cancer have been revealed: increase of cell volume, reduction of conduction and intensity of light-scatter that may indicate to desta-bilization of cellular membranes and processes of intracellular metabolism. When patients received autohemochemoimmunotherapy (AHCIT) the intensity of changes of structural-functional properties of neutrophils and lymphocytes decreased with every course, which was indicative of reduction of toxicity of chemotherapy on autoblood combined with immuno stimulating therapy and of the possibility to apply VCS-parameters of leukocytes for estimation of AHCIT efficacy and the degree of hematologic toxicity.
