Structural changes in the activities of student construction teams of the Soviet Union during the period of perestroika (1985-1990)

The study examines the trends in the development of the movement of student construction teams during the period of perestroika in the USSR. Particular attention is paid to the relationship of structural changes in such associations with reforms in the Komsomol. The features of the activity of student construction teams at different stages of perestroika are revealed. The question of the prerequisites for changes in the Komsomol and in the system of youth movements is considered. An important aspect of the study is the analysis of the reasons for the termination of the activity of construction teams. The conclusions note that the changes that occurred in student associations of this type during the period of perestroika had a positive impact on the effectiveness of the movement. It is established that the reasons for the termination of the student construction teams were not related to internal problems of the movement, but to the systemic political and economic transformations that took place in the Soviet Union. The basis of the source base of the work is documents from the collections of the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History, the State Archive of the Modern History of Stavropol Territory and materials of the periodical press of the period under study, which were first introduced into scientific circulation.
