Structural analysis of milk production in Altai region

The article provides an assessment of the performance of milk and dairy products in the Altai Territory. An analysis was made of the numerical composition of the livestock population, the dominant position of the livestock population was determined. Its dynamics along the edge is considered, the regions providing the largest increase are noted. A diagram of the total volume of livestock production in the region is given, the special economic importance of dairy cattle breeding is determined, stable production of milk and dairy products is noted with a significant reduction in the number of cows, which is offset by an increase in the productivity of the dairy herd. There is a tendency towards an increase in the share of small forms of management, with a simultaneous decrease in the share of households. Certain reserves for further growth in milk production.
