This article provides an analysis of the strategies and efforts employed by the pro-Israel lobby and groups sympathetic to Israel during rallies in support of Palestine on university campuses across the United States. Additionally, it elucidates the domestic political and foreign policy conditions that have shaped the format and specificity of such protests within American universities. Particular attention is paid to the methods used by the pro-Israel lobby to counter pro-Palestinian actions in two directions: in the informational sphere and directly at the sites of these protests. The article highlights that the creation of a narrative and the development of an independent informational agenda significantly contributed to the pro-Israel lobby’s ability to seize the initiative from supporters of Palestine in the United States, rather than through on-the-ground opposition during the actual protests on university campuses.
