Student scientific society in the system of secondary vocational education as a tool for working with gifted students

In the context of modern challenges, the identification and development of gifted students with a pronounced motivation for research activities, genuine interest in their future profession, and a sustainable desire for professional and personal self-development is one of the priority areas of state policy in the field of professional education. The formation of a comprehensive scientific worldview in students of professional educational organizations (PEO) and the development of their own point of view on the problem are the most important tasks of professional training of future specialists. The article reveals the content of the concept of “student scientific society”, and provides a description of its main structural components. The author consolidated the experience of the Chelyabinsk Institute of the Vocational Education Development in scientific and methodological support of the student scientific society in the PEO region. The article presents the results of participation of representatives of professional educational organizations in the regional competition of student research papers in 2020-2024. Information is provided on the participation of teaching staff of the PEO in online consultations organized by the faculty of the Chelyabinsk Institute of the Vocational Education Development for the heads of the student scientific society. The article examines a number of problems faced by students of professional educational organizations during the preparation of research papers, and also identifies a list of barriers faced by PEO in the process of organizing comprehensive support for students’ research activities. As a result of the study, a package of recommendations was formed for the development of the student scientific society in the system of secondary vocational education of the Chelyabinsk region.
