The problem of adaptation of yesterday’s school graduates after entering professional educational organizations is receiving more and more attention in psychological and pedagogical research. According to UNESCO, the adaptation of a person to various environmental changes is one of the indicators of the quality of educational results. This article examines the influence of the student self-government system on the success of adaptation of first-year students in the conditions of a pedagogical college.
